Banner Finishing
The industry standard for banner finishing is a 1" hem with grommets approximately every 2 feet. We can add pole pockets, reinforcements, extra grommets, or specifically placed grommets to your custom banner.
Traditionally sewn hems create tiny holes (perforations) in the material that have a tendency to tear in high wind or over time. Banner taping using double-sided banner tape to finish the edges is also an option; however, this is best for short-term use only.
A welded hem is the standard finishing method we use for banners (see why). Signs for Success has the only banner welder in Spokane. Welded hems and welded pole pockets are strong, long-term, and outdoor-durable. See the banner welder in action.
Banner Mounting
Grommets are the standard method of mounting a banner, but pole pockets are a great alternative for boulevard banners, parade banners and tradeshow banners. Pole banner hardware can be purchased separately. We recommend the spring-loaded poles because they increase the life of your banner by being more flexible in the wind. See pole banners with spring-loaded poles on a windy day.
